Honest Community Standout: Gloria Bremer!

“There are people in your life whom you unknowingly inspire simply by being you.” – Anonymous

The trainers at Honest Small Group Training want to make sure that all you beautiful clients understand how appreciated and loved you are! Your success is their success and quite simply… you are the reason they do what they do. Every month they select an exemplary client that deserves a little extra attention for their awesome attitude, commitment and determination. It’s time to reveal who has been chosen as April’s Honest Community Standout!

*drumroll please*

Congratulations Gloria Bremer!

Gloria was nominated by trainer Justin, who had this to say about her:

“Gloria shows up like clockwork, ready to work and give it her all. Her dedication to the process is the kind of motivation we as trainers need to keep doing what we do.”

I spent some quality time with Gloria to find out what she was putting in her Wheaties to make her such a bad a$$. Here’s what I found out.

What brought you to Honest?

Well originally it was just really close to my house and I thought that I would probably like group training.

Had you ever done group training before?

I had, I’d done crossfit training in the past and it was a little intense for me. I thought that I might enjoy this more.

What were your initial fitness and health goals?

I guess my original goal was to lose weight, and then eventually I stopped thinking about that and decided that feeling strong was more important to me. So that’s kind of where I am right now. Strong is happy to me. (<—love this!)

How long have you been training here?

About 6 months.

How often do you train?

Usually 4 days a week.

What changes have you noticed since you started working out here, both physically and mentally?

Mentally, I definitely feel like the gym is therapy for me. I’ve noticed that generally I’m happier and just…less of a jerk I guess (laughs). Physically, I’ve been hiking a little bit since the season started and I’ve noticed that it’s been a little easier than it was this time last year. I guess just feeling generally stronger.

What motivates you during a tough workout?

I guess just seeing other people working hard. It’s like, man they’re working hard so I probably better get with it. Like the workouts where your partner is doing something while you’re doing something else, I always hustle a lot faster then.

What is your favorite thing about working out at honest?

I would say the community in general and specifically the trainers are really awesome. I never feel like I have to pick and choose which class to go to because it doesn’t really matter who I end up with. They’re all great.

What advice do you have for other Honest clients?

I guess just make your schedule in advance. That’s how I make it to class. I schedule out my whole month. If it’s there I won’t cancel it.

What is your favorite fitness move or your favorite exercise?

I really like the tire flipping. It’s the best.

What is a move that challenges you?

Anything that’s plank related is a challenge for me.

One last fun one…What is a super power you’d like to have?

I think I’d like to be able to fly. I know that’s kind of boring but it would be awesome.

I think I’d like to fly too Gloria. It would be seriously awesome.

So let’s give it up for Gloria! A woman as modest as she is strong! Thank you for working so hard, inspiring those around you and helping make the Honest community the awesome fitness family it is.
