Healthy, Easy Recipes From Trainer Paisley!

My recipes are all about meals and snacks being cost effective, healthy, low prep time, and taste amazing!

PERFECTLY COOKED SPAGHETTI SQUASH & TURKEY RED SAUCE

What you need…

  • 1 spaghetti squash, halved, de-seeded
  • Cookie sheet

What to do…

  1. Preheat oven to 350 or so
  2. In the bottom of your cookie sheet add enough water so that it won’t spill over the edge with your squash in face down.
  3. Bake til tender!  About 30-40m.

TURKEY RED SAUCE

What you need…

  • Olive oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 jar of red sauce that you like
  • I added extra minced garlic, about 1 T
  • Salt and pepper to taste

What to do…

  1. Brown turkey in a pan with garlic in a little olive oil, add salt and pepper
  2. Pour jar of sauce over, mix, heat through and serve over the spaghetti squash!  YUM!  I serve this with a big salad or broccoli.

SOAKED AND ROASTED ALMONDS

What you need…

  • Almonds.  How many cups do you want?  I make like 3-4c
  • Big bowl for soaking
  • Strainer
  • Sea salt

What to do…

  1. Soak your almonds anywhere from 4 hours to overnight in water
  2. Strain almonds, rinse, drain.  Let the almonds hangout in the strainer with a bowl under overnight or for a few hours to get AS MUCH liquid off as possible.
  3. Preheat oven to 200-300 deg… fairly low.
  4. Spread almonds on cookie sheet and sprinkle with salt
  5. Bake til almonds and crispy and crunch when you eat one.  45m-1.5hours
  6. I like to snack on these with dates!

HEALTHY MOCHA

What you need…

  • Unsweetened cocoa
  • Milk of choice
  • Stevia or sweetener of choice
  • Espresso

What to do…

  1. Add between 1-4 T of cocoa (unsweetened), and your sweetener to your fav mug.
  2. Add expresso (I made with my stove top espresso maker, reg coffee works too!)
  3. Add in hot milk of choice (pre heat this in the micro)
  4. Enjoy!
