EMILY Ssoccer em blkwhiteemily laughs

Emily grew up in sunny Bend Oregon where she climbed rocks, paddled rivers and ventured trails on

bike, foot, and skis. She discovered soccer at an early age and played competitively year round. Soccer

eventually became her ticket to move on to other beautiful areas and experiences and got her through

her first two years of college. Growing up in an athletic and competitive atmosphere Emily had to learn

how to train and prep her body, she saw that what she needed wasn’t the same for everyone she played

with. This gave birth to a compassion for the body and mind of the individual and an interest in enabling

people to reach their optimal performance by listening and responding to their body.

After her second season of collegiate soccer, Emily decided her major would be where her passion lies,

she is now studying at Portland State University to achieve a Bachelor’s in Community Health with a

focus in Physical Activity. As a way to practice and develop her skills and passions for fitness and health,

Emily became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer in 2014 and registered her business, LastV, shortly

after. She has been working one-on-one with passionate individuals since using the fitness philosophies

that motivated her in the beginning. You can learn more about Emily’s training philosophy and goals on

her website at www.lastvfitness.com.

While Portland has many similar exciting outdoor adventures to partake in and explore as Bend does,

Emily also explores the aspects of Portland culture that are strictly unique. You can find her at musical

and comedy open mics, concerts and shows, and thrift stores and brewfests around the city.
