Honest Blog

April showers bring… another Honest Community Standout! For this wet and weird month, Trainer Bree asked me to highlight the thoughtful (and dedicated) Rabbi Ariel Stone!

Congratulations and NICE SHIRT! 😉

Now, let’s learn a little more about Ariel and hear what she’s got to say about Honest Training.

What brought you to Honest and what made you stick around?

I moved to the neighborhood and wanted to find a gym near the house. Stefanie Silverman recommended Honest. The small group circuit training really suits me for a whole body workout, and I love the indoor cycling that keeps me in shape for when I can do it outdoors.

I stick around because the workouts are better than anything I could possibly do on my own at a gym, not only because of Paisley’s knowledge and creativity but also because of the workout buddies who show up regularly and encourage each other. It’s great to be a part of a supportive small group.

What were your initial fitness and health goals?

My physician told me that now that I’m in menopause, if I didn’t start doing something with my upper body I would end up pear-shaped. Yikes! so I work out for general health and fitness, and so I can eat more.

What are your long term fitness and health goals?

No change from above; I’m in it for the long term.

How often do you train?

5 days a week.

What motivates you?

A workout in the morning revs me up for my day, and especially in the winter – it keeps me from hibernating. I feel so much better when I work out regularly, both mentally and physically.

What advice do you have for other Honest clients to help them get the most out of their time here?

Make it your priority. Go regularly and stick to it like glue (if you’re not sick or out of town).

What’s your “power move?”

I can plank like crazy now. I notice I’m a lot stronger doing push-ups too. And my burpee is definitely getting honed.

What exercise really challenges you?

Anything that requires me not to arch my back.

I couldn’t resist a silly one… which could you not live without, cheese or chocolate?

Cheese! The softer and stinkier, the better!

Thank you so much for your time, Ariel! Keep on showing your shining face around these parts! We love having you as an Honest client and friend.
